Another thing I loved was the delicious dinner cooked by the owner's mom. It was truly a highlight of my stay.

There was no hot water available during my stay. The lack of a mosquito net was a bit bothersome as well, as I encountered quite a few insects during the night.

The owner's mother cooked delicious meals for us, and we also had the opportunity to go on a safari and explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa on bikes provided by the guest house. The owner was incredibly helpful, even organizing a scooter for us to explore the surrounding area. We truly felt like part of the family and had many enriching conversations with the owner.
